jo was born and brought up on a farm in the West Berkshire countryside. This is influenced her paintings which she creates using acrylic on canvas with very little planning, using a variety of mark making equipment. She worked as a graphic designer for around 14 years which is evident in her use of colour and composition. Jo loves to serve the changing seasons and strives to create paintings that have an evocative and atmospheric nature with a sense of nostalgia and narrative.
